Knit Night Cupcakes

Knit Night Cupcakes - Yarn Balls

A friend of mine is having a going away party tonight. She got a great job in NYC, and they want her there immediately! Good news for her, but bad news for us here in Boston!

The party is also a Knit Night, so I thought I’d bring some appropriately decorated cupcakes. This was my first time working with marzipan, and what fun it is! Like, four hours of fun.

Speaking of the party, I gotta go! Forgive my lack of words; I hope I can make up for it with the ridiculous amount of photos!

On February 25th, 2008 I was on the Martha Stewart Show showing Martha how to make these. Here’s the clip!

all thanks goes to you, lolo, i am so glad you thought these up! it was my pleasure to take a crack at them for myself; i’m so glad you are pleased with my results! :) the ladies in my stitch group were in love with them, one of them even took one of the cupcakes home and put it in the freezer so she could show everyone…she didn’t dare eat it!

you are incredibly creative, and brave! it was my first time with marzipan too, and you can be sure i never would have attempted it without knowing that this was a first for you too. thanks again!

Aaawww… those are brilliant!!! Far too good to be eaten! If I made those I’d keep them in a glass case and wouldn’t let anybody touch them, I’d be sooo proud of them! Excellent work!!!!
