Hi Lolo
I wanted to say thank you for the food photography. I recently purchased a canon 400D with the romantic idea that I would pull it out of the packet and be taking wonderful photos in no time at all…well, I have been feeling pretty down and overwhelmed with the functions and my complete lack of skill! Of course it takes time, however reading your page about photography has inspired me and the ideas with backdrops and lighting are fantastic.
Hi LoLo,
I stumbled accross this site from a cloth diapering site (not all just about CDing ) and anyway I am in awe. We have alot in common and I’d love to chit chat with you. I’m 90% vegan and have been for a couple yrs now before that was veg. I do eat eggs still. Pls contact me if you have a sec I’m just north of Boston in Beverly and would love to connect. Do you have a space or do you do all this out of home?congrats with all you’ve done and best wishes for all you do! Hope to hear from you.

I too stumbled upon this site because I was looking for won ton soup recipes. I was fascinated with your site and how visually artistic you are with your foods.
I’ve been vegan/ vegetarian for 13 years. It’s really tough creating new ideas since we can’t get a lot of the food stuffs that are available everywhere else. I live in Manitoba…..
I would love to join or register your website but do not know how to go about it. Please guide me; I am looking so forward to learning new ways to enhance our eating lifestyle, with your simplicity and wonderful tasting dishes. All the best,

Myer Lemon Recipes.
Hi there. I live in Miami and we are getting a lot of Meyer lemons. I wanted to make a meyer lemon curd but the recipe I found http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Meyer-Lemon-Curd-102744 calls for eggs. Do you think I can substitute flax seeds?
Found your website when searching “poolish”. I was following a recipe from Crust and Crumb by Peter Reinhart and was uncertain just what “foamy and bubbly” meant…was my poolish foamy and bubbly ENOUGH? Well, now I know thanks to your beautiful photos! My poolish has a little ways to go yet, but there’s some focaccia on my horizon!
Thanks for the great website and photos – I anticipate trying a couple of your recipes!
I know you have read it before but it is my turn to say it hehehehe.. I adore your blog I have been in here for at least two hours since I found it. I have been tryig to find a way to subscribe but can’t find it… can you pleeeeeease let me know if I can subscribe and how?

Hello Lolo (or is it Lauren?): Somehow, I came across your website: http://www.veganyumyum.com and spent some time going through it. You can do some pretty amazing stuff. I watched the video with Martha Stewart and your “craftmanship” with the pastries. I have a website: http://www.dineandfind.com down here in Tampa and would like to have your permission to link your site in my “Links” section for my viewers. I have a restaurant listing down in St. Petersburg that is a Raw Vegan/Vegetarian restaurant: Leafy Green Cafe. You might want to touch base with the owner there, Denise Becknell, as the two of you seem to have quite a bit in common.

Your site is definitly on my top favorite recipe sites. All your stuff looks so amazing and tastey I cant wait to try my hand at some of your ideas.
I am in no way vegan (sorry I love my meats) but your dishes are very inspirational.
My name is Patrick, and I am from Tawian. Just found your blog with so many great recipes and information, I am wondering if I can have your permission to translate some of them into Chinese and post in my website, VegTomato, http://www.vegtomato.org/, to inspire people go veganism/vegetarianism? VegTomato is a non-profit and non-commerical website, and all of us are volunteers.
I will link back to here and credit it to you!!
Sincerely yours,
Patrick

I am from Sydney and am full vegan. I really liked the creativity in the cupcakes, and your whole site consists of natural talent.
I don’t believe you always need formal training.
I like the photography. It’s clean and interesting, and you can tell you are vegan because your skin glows with supreme health.
You should always use these header files in pairs. ,

I just discovered your website, and I absolutely adore it! I have a suggestion for a how to: preparing/prepping artichokes. It seems like a lot of people have different ways of doing it. It would be great to know what your favorite way is, or the way to cut them that makes them look the “prettiest.” :o)

After years of being tempted into a vegan lifestyle I have finally taken the plunge and I couldn’t be more eager, I also couldn’t be more inspired by VeganYumYum which is probably the best site I have come across. It is simple to navigate, look around, and the recipes are well written and easy to follow. Thank you, thank you, thank you …
Hi: I’m so happy to have discovered your vegan Alfredo sauce. FYI: I cut back on the mustard and garlic, though (my preference). I will try those roasted peppers next time I make a batch… Very cool to see you with Martha. You were tremendously poised on national TV. Peas…
So glad I’ve found this blog, so inspiring. I’ve been vegan for years and love cooking, but I’m going to get so much from here.
Fantastic!

I need your help!
Can you show a picture tutorial on how to prepare tofu? As a newly devoted vegan, I have been trying to follow your recipes, however, I only seem to make tofu disasters or slimy tofu dishes where the tofu has disintegrated into a flavorless mush.
The main reason i love your cookbook is because you show every recipe with a picture. That really helps alot!

I just had to come here and tell you how awesome I think you are! I’m breastfeeding my son who is allergic to SO many things – dairy, eggs, tomato, avocado, pears…the list goes on. I’ve had to become pretty creative with my diet to stay satisfied and at the same time meet our nutritional needs. For the first two months I pretty much stuck to a whole foods diet – fruit, veggies and meat. But I quickly realized I wasn’t going to survive on that diet alone. I need something decadent every once in a while! So I started searching for vegan products and recipes, since I could be confident that they’re dairy and egg free. Wow…really…wow!!! You are inspired! I actually got my husband to not just eat but ENJOY tofu (sweet chili lime). And your alfredo recipe…I didn’t think anything would satisfy my craving for cheese. I really thought it’d be there until I stopped breastfeeding and then I’d lock myself in a room with 10 packages of polly-o mozzerella and not come out until they were all gone. That is no longer a concern! And the potato/leek soup! I mean, recipies don’t get any easier than that but it is SO delicious! I truly can’t wait to try more.
I pray that my son will grow out of his allergies but I will never grow tired of the delicious recipes I’ve found in your cookbook, Thank you for making this experience so much easier for me. Breastfeeding moms often feel isolated and think they have to sacrifice their freedom to breastfeed thier babies. I never felt they way. I love it. And I know I’m doing the best thing for him by breastfeeding him. But not eating cheese, or butter, or an omlette…I really started questioning how I was going to get through this. Now that I found your book I can get back to enjoying breastfeeding my son without feeling like I’m sacrificing anything to do it. Thank you!

hi lalo!
spent two hours on the floor of borders trying to decide which vegan cookbook i wanted to try… yours was my favorite. thank you for the pictures!!!!! when cooking in a new realm it is always more inspiring to have pictures… it helps visualize what you are doing, ya know. i have serious carnivores in my residences so i am getting whining, whimpering and so on but so far i have loved everything i have tried. my husband loved the cheezy toast with kale. he ate three (big compliment). thank you for making a beautiful and inspiring (fun to read too) cookbook for us non vegan but still globally minded folks
The pics are great! It’s great to see some instructions along with the great recipes. The recipe with seitan and teriyaki sauce you made is something I would really love.
I have been wondering what to do with seitan.
Thanks for the recipe idea!

i have to tell you that I after finding your blog a few months ago, I bought your cookbook and it is wonderful. Some of the best vegan foods I have ever tasted have come from this blog and your cookbook – prepared in my own kitchen. You are an extremely talented and gifted cook. Don’t let the negative people of this world make you forget that. You gave your time freely to many people and are more than likely responsible for leading a lot of people to veganism and in doing so, made the world a better place. Thank you for your time and efforts.

Hi, LoLo,
My name is Patrick, and I am from Tawian.
Sincerely yours,
Patrick

These photos are amazing and the food looks great! That’s so cool that you’re writing a cookbook…keep it up! I just saw “Julie and Julia,” and it made me want to stop college, create a blog, and become a famous writer (although I wouldn’t want to bone a duck….ever.) Congrats on all your hard work!

I just wanted to look up cupcakes with marzipan and you came up!
I am from Sydney and am full vegan. I really liked the creativity in the cupcakes, and your whole site consists of natural talent.
I don’t believe you always need formal training.
I like the photography. It’s clean and interesting, and you can tell you are vegan because your skin glows with supreme health.
Well done and all the very best.

I just discovered your website, and I absolutely adore it! I have a suggestion for a how to: preparing/prepping artichokes. It seems like a lot of people have different ways of doing it. It would be great to know what your favorite way is, or the way to cut them that makes them look the “prettiest.” :o)

Hmmm.. not sure why my smiley face came out like that, maybe because I do a “nose” when I type them. It should be like this– :) lol

Peas…

Vegan YUM YUM, and you’re not joking!
