Knit Night Cupcakes

Knit Night Cupcakes - Yarn Balls

A friend of mine is having a going away party tonight. She got a great job in NYC, and they want her there immediately! Good news for her, but bad news for us here in Boston!

The party is also a Knit Night, so I thought I’d bring some appropriately decorated cupcakes. This was my first time working with marzipan, and what fun it is! Like, four hours of fun.

Speaking of the party, I gotta go! Forgive my lack of words; I hope I can make up for it with the ridiculous amount of photos!

Wow. I just made a chair out of crochet that was inspired by a real cupcake.
Seem like yarn and cupcakes are a match made in heaven, huh?

    And it’s Vegan!

Gotta give you your Kudos!! Talent, patience,…you’ve got it! When I see wonderful additions to food such as these, the thing that jumps out at me though is how much the person had to use bare hands to make them…then I can’t eat them. They are so beautiful to look at though and add to themes so well. High five to You!!

Very Cute! These take a lot more time than I have to give. If I ever need just a few of them, I could handle that. Keep on crafting!

Hello I just watched the video of you and Martha Stewart making the knitting balls and shirts, etc. I just have to add that this is one way of knitting that I could do since I can’t knit the regular way with yarn. I really enjoyed the video and by all means if you have any more please send them my way. Thank you .

I would be too afraid to eat them, you spent so much time on them, that is amazing that anyone could or would be able to think of doing this. Very creative, you are talented!

Here in Stroud, England, we have been knitting nearly 3000 baby hats for babies in the developing world – this was started off by our Member of Parliament in support of the Save the Children campaign. My challenge was to make a cake that looked like a knitted hat, for the tea party that was held to hand the hats over to Save the Children! These fantastic knitted cupcakes were just the inspiration I needed – many thanks!
